P2 Daruma X Lollipop
in 6-inch pot
Donated By Harold Koopowitz
The lower picture is of 'Lollipop', a plant from Harold Koopowitz. It is one of the parents of a plant donated by Harold , crossed with a Japanese Daruma. Harold's description from the book "Clivias" about 'Lollipop':

"One of my plants, this has an almost entire sphere of very shapely flowers and rounded tepal tips. 'Lollipop' has some of the widest and roundest overlapping perianth parts of any of the standard clivias I have seen. The flower color is a rich, smooth mid-orange with a contrasting white throat. I happened across it by chance growing in a pot while I was in an artist's studio, and after much haggling with the artists wife, managed to buy it. To my mind, the umbel has an almost perfect placement of flowers. The plant's stature is a little too large for it to be considered a dwarf. The gracefully arching leaves are just over 3 inches (7.5 cm) wide and 18 inches (45 cm) long. Two inflorescences are usuallu borne simultaneously and held above the foliage."
