P13 'Ramona'
offset, in 7-inch pot.
Donated By David Conway
This is a small, battered-looking but apparently quite healthy sucker. Its leaves had suffered snail depredation before it was sent to NACS. Harold's description from the book "Clivias" about 'Ramona':

"This is a Conway plant that deserves whatever superlatives can be thrown at it. It is among the best picotee flowers available and makes a stunning display. The umbel carries large, widly flaring, flattish flowers with overlapping tepals and enormous, central creamy yellow thoats that extend toward the tepal tips. The tepal tips are edged with a vivid border of dark orange, which makes a strong contrast with the colors of the throat. The cream-yellow of the throat contains more bright yellow than normally seen in the yellow clivias. This is essentially a creamy yellow flower with about a 3/8- to 1/2- inch (1- to 1.25-cm) rim of orange. The petals are slighty more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) at their widest, and the sepals are 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, making a flower that is 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter. Icounted sixteen florets to the umbel, which is formed on a rounded head and borne on an 18-inch (45-cm) peduncle. The somewhat short leaves are 20 inches (50 cm) long and 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide. The leaves recurve, exposing the inflorescence above the floiage and making a very handsome picture. Without a doubt this is among the finest clivias available today."
